A: I was born in Johnstown, PA (place of that big flood) which is in central Pennsylvania. We moved a few times while I was growing up. My family lived in Somerset, PA, Hollidaysburg, PA and ended up in Upper St. Clair, PA, where I went to High School.

A: After college (John Carroll University), I decided to stay in the Cleveland, Ohio area. I live in Strongsville which is a large Cleveland suburb.

A: Nope. I do have two children who are very close in age. Madeline (daughter) and Matthew (son) are just 22 months apart. At the time of writing the book, one of them started high school!

A: YES!!! I have the world’s most adorable mini-lop bunny. Her name is Angel, and I talk to her like she’s a baby – then my kids tease me. She thinks she’s a cat. She has a litter box and spends most of the day hopping around the house. I love when she lays under my chair when I’m writing at my computer. Before we got her, I had no idea what a great pet a bun could be!

A: I LOVE paddle boarding on Lake Erie. My family and I spend a lot of time on Lake Erie. We love it!

A: I’ve always enjoyed writing, but no, I have not always been a writer. I went to college to be a teacher. After graduation, I worked in product development for educational toys. After marrying my husband Mark, he and I started an interactive marketing agency. Being a mom and a business owner keeps me very busy and always growing!

A: You may be disappointed, but I am not huge fan of ice cream, so it’s plain vanilla ice cream for me!

A: Hands-down, my favorite book is the Harry Potter series. I have great memories of reading those books to my children. They are great!

A: I love to travel. My husband Mark and I have had the privilege of traveling to some exciting places around the world. Some of our favorites include: Costa Rica, Europe, Hawaii and the London 2012 Olympics. By far, my favorite place to be is on our great lake – Lake Erie! The Lake Erie Islands are not well know to most of the world, but they are an amazing gem in Ohio! We love being able to teach our children about the world while traveling. We love our hands-on adventures.

A: I have 2 – The Millennium Force at Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH and The Phantom’s Revenge at Kennywood in Pittsburgh, PA. Also, I really love the Harry Potter Hogwarts ride at Universal in Orlando… but I’m not sure that’s really a roller coaster…

Wow – It is so hard to choose just 2! I can think of about 100 books that I would love to share! I suppose if I had to choose, I would pick Beezus and Ramona by Beverly Cleary, because I have great memories of reading that book with my kids when they were young. My second pick would be Encyclopedia Brown, Boy Detective, By Donald Sobol – which was my very favorite chapter book when I was young! I loved solving the mysteries as I read.

Definitely Don and Audrey Wood. Their picture books are fantastic! My kids and I loved reading Don and Audrey Wood’s picture books when they were young. My kids and I would laugh and laugh at the expressions the mouse makes in the book, The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear.

Mom Mad Us Write This In The Summer is a funny he-said, she-said journal-style book by 10-year-old twins, Maggie and Max Pruitt. When their Mom comes up with a plan for a summer journal, Max and Maggie Pruitt cannot believe it! Worse yet, they have to SHARE! The book is full of hilarious back and forth comments of the kids that highlight the joys and challenges of siblings. Anyone with a brother or sister will identify with the fun and struggles that Max and Maggie experience this summer.
